‘Twas winter time I fell asleep
Upon a lily white cloud,
You danced into my dreams my sweet
As soprano played out loud.

You held aloft your open hands
With all angelic grace,
I held out mine for you my love
And felt innocence in a new born face.

You moved across the moonbeams
With wonderful allure,
I never see your shining smile
But I know it’s there for sure.

I traced your steps into the night
As you swayed from dream to dream,
You’re always there but not in sight
Or so my heart would deem.

And as the day begins to break
The image of you still glows,
I hold your heart as I awake
In the form of a deep red rose.
